We deliver throughout the United Kingdom.

What delivery costs

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the size of your order, and are shown in full before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards. Under Regulation 40 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you are not liable for any charge that was not made clear to you before you placed the order.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders placed before 12:00 on a working day are normally dispatched the same day. Orders placed later, or at a weekend or on a bank holiday, are dispatched on the next working day.

Standard delivery is usually 2 to 4 working days after dispatch. These are carrier estimates rather than guarantees.

Under section 28 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we must deliver within 30 days unless we agreed a different time with you. If we miss that, you may set a further reasonable period; if we miss that too, or if the delivery date was essential and we told you so, you may cancel and get a full refund.

You will receive a tracking reference by email when your order leaves us.

Delivery addresses

We deliver to residential and business addresses. Someone must be present to sign; if nobody is available the carrier will attempt redelivery or leave a card. Please check the address before ordering — we can change it only while the order is still with us.

Risk and ownership

Under section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or that of someone you have named. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is ours to resolve, not yours.

If something is wrong on arrival

Contact us at info@thescents.co.za or +44 7311 478319. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and we are responsible if they are not. Full detail is on our Returns and Cancellations page.

Aerosols and flammable goods

Fragrance is classed as a flammable liquid and travels by road, not by air. That is a carrier restriction rather than a choice, and it is why some destinations take longer.
